Dr. Heidi Forbes Öste interviews Alyea Sandovar, PhD - a game and play consultant for online entrepreneurs. Columbian by birth, naturalized American, at home in Amsterdam when not on the road in Bali or Munich.
Alyea is a game and play consultant and supports online entrepreneurs to gamify their programs, products and marketing. She has an in-depth of understanding into what it means to be human and to be playful through study and experience. She has a whole slew of degrees: the focus of her PhD was game design and production, She also has a Masters in Psychology, a Masters in Human Organizational Systems, and a Bachelor’s is in Public Relations and Communication. She has worked with academic institutions, non profits, game studios, corporations, start-ups and with online entrepreneur.
She is passionate about creating high quality products with ease and fun. She believes creating playful products should not be a headache. She is devoutly spiritual, and aims to bring respect, peace, fun and tranquility to every project she becomes a part of. She loves dark chocolate, salsa, traveling and cortados.
